Clogged Toilets, Toilet Running, Leaking toilets?
Joyce El Cajon Plumbing is affordable and reliable. Our master plumbers can address all types of plumbing needs. Leaking toilets or toilets running are typically fixed with parts that we carry in our trucks. Clogged toilets are a regular job.
Toilets have many moving parts. All moving parts wear out and break. The most common issues we hear about toilets are:
- the toilets will not flush
- the toilet is leaking
- the toilet will not stop running
- clogged toilets
If you experience any of these issues, we recommend that you turn off the water for that toilet and call us at (619) 461-1340. If you let the water run or drip, it can cause a lot of damage to your property.
Why Do Toilets Leak?
When you notice water leaking from the bottom of your toilet onto the floor, it can cause rot and mold. These issues are typically caused by leaking seals or wax gaskets. Rarely, but equally troubling are the other issues. To further diagnose this type of issue, watch when the water appears under the toilet. Is it all the time or just when you flush the toilet? Sometimes, when you are lucky, it can be fixed by tightening the bolts holding the toilet to the floor. If this simle fix does not work, call Joyce Plumbing for a free quote.
Why Would the Toilet Run all the Time?
Sometimes the simplest and least expensive issue to fix is when the toilet runs all the time. Unfortunately, if you leave this issue unaddressed, it can become quite expensive as it will dramatically affect your water bill. The first thing that you want to examine is the flapper valve. It is in the bottom of the box behind the toilet. Sometimes they become disconnected or out of alignment. If you are careful, you can fix this issue by reattaching or replacing the flapper.
Why Would a Toilet Stop Flushing?
A toilet that will not flush is often caused by a broken chain to the flush handle. Try to reattach or replace the chain. If that is not the problem, then we will need to diagnose the issue further. Call Joyce San Diego Plumbing and will get you back in business quickly.
